Sarah Simiyu - Sponsored

Sarah arrived at RJO on February 8th 2021. Her father passed away when she was only six years old, leaving her in her mother's care. Her mother was jobless and unable to provide basic needs. Her mother was forced by her brothers to get rid of Sarah or they would kill her because the child was now considered taboo in the family. In fear and desperation, she took her to another relative far away who last year abandoned Sarah saying she has become a burden. Sarah was rescued and brought to River Jordan Orphanage for proper care. Sarah would love to become a teacher.
